Privacy Policy

This site belongs to me, Casey Brennan ("I," "me"). What follows is a plain account of what I hold, what I do with it, and what you can ask of me. In one line: your email reaches me only because you chose to hand it over, it does exactly one job, and it goes nowhere else. Never sold, never passed around.

What I hold

  • Your email address, and only once you’ve asked to hear from me. Beside it I keep the day you joined, the page you were standing on, and your confirmation click, so I can always show that you said yes.
  • Traffic figures, meaning page views, clicks that lead off-site, newsletter sign-ups, audiobook-code requests, where you arrived from, and a rough headcount. Those live on a private first-party dashboard of my own. No email addresses, no names, no message text ever reaches it.

What it’s for

Telling you about new releases, bonus scenes, and the occasional piece of news, which is precisely what you asked for. My lawful basis is your consent, and you give it twice: once in the form, once by clicking the link in the confirmation email.

Who else sees it

Nobody, apart from the services that keep this site standing, carry my email, and keep bots out of the forms. In practice that means AWS and Cloudflare Turnstile. I have never sold, rented, or traded a single detail about you, and I never will.

How long I keep it

For as long as you want to hear from me, and not a day past. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and the moment you use it your address stops being sent to. Ask me to erase it entirely and I will.

What you can ask of me

  • Walk away whenever you like, using the link in any email or the unsubscribe page.
  • Ask me what I hold on you, or tell me to delete it, through my contact form or casey@caseybrennan.com.
  • Readers in the EEA, the UK, or California have further rights under GDPR and CCPA. Write to me at the same place and I’ll honor them, no argument.

Age

I write for grown-ups. This site and my newsletter are meant for readers of 18 and over, and I don’t knowingly take information from anyone younger.
